Inspection and Management of Diesel Generator Sets

    Zhongjie Power 2024-11-04 15:38:37 122 Views

    Pre startup inspection:

    1. Check if the oil level on the dipstick is between L and H, and see if there are any signs of abnormal oil quality

    2. Check if the cooling water in the water tank is sufficient, if the water valve is open, and if there are any abnormal signs of the cooling water

    3. Check the tension of the water pump belt, fan belt, and charger belt

    4. Check for any debris between the fan and the cooling fins of the water tank, and remove them if necessary

    5. Check if there are any debris piled up on the unit, and remove them if necessary

    6. Check for oil and water leakage in the generator set

    7. Check for loose and oxidized battery connectors

    8. Check the operating parameter record card of the unit and compare whether various filters and engine oils have expired

    Inspection after startup:

    1. Pay attention to whether there is any abnormal noise from the diesel generator set, and stop it immediately if there is any

    2. Check the oil pressure gauge. Under normal circumstances, the oil pressure should not be lower than 35PSI

    3. Check whether the frequency and voltage values of the generator are stable and the working condition of the charger

    4. The above three situations are normal. After 10 minutes of no-load operation, run with load

    5. Avoid operating for extended periods of time under conditions above 80% rated load

    6. Listen for any abnormal noise from the diesel engine under load conditions, check the oil pressure, water temperature (below 90 degrees Celsius), frequency, voltage, and smoke color

    7. Check for oil leakage, water leakage, air leakage, and abnormal vibration of the diesel generator set

    8. Check for any abnormalities in the temperature of the electric ball casing

    Shutdown

After unloading the load, the diesel engine should run without load for 10 minutes before stopping, allowing the electric ball and various lubricating components of the diesel engine to receive sufficient cooling

    2. Check for oil and water leakage in the unit after shutdown. If inspection is necessary, the cooling water must be allowed to cool for 2 hours after shutdown before discharging
